24 Hours In Southend-On-Sea, Essex.
The UK might not be the most famous place for it’s weather and beautiful beaches however if you’re living in the UK you should really appreciate the sea. The water is not blue & clear like Greece but I am here to ‘argue’ that we’re lucky to have the sea close by that is also very accessible!
A few weeks ago I was feeling a bit depressed and since I know that the ocean is free therapy for me, I decided to pack a small bag and drive to Southend-On-Sea. According to Google - because I suck at Geography - Southend-On-Sea is located on the Thames Estuary in Essex, Southeast England.
I wasn’t expecting much, but all I wanted is to be close to the ocean and maybe treat myself to a nice hotel. This is when I came across The Roslin Beach Hotel which is a 4 star boutique hotel in Thorpe Bay.
Once I reached my destination, I was impressed by the hotel. The people working there were very friendly and welcoming and I was even upgraded to a bigger room! It also had free parking and the beach is literally a minute away. You have the option to book a room with sea view!

Overall Experience Highlights:
Driving by the coast listening to Country Music. Yes, I caught the bug!

Overall Southend-On-Sea Thoughts:
It was my second time here and I overall enjoyed it. The first time I visited, I went to the Wetsuit Outlet so if that’s your thing you could also pay the outlet a visit!
Southend-On-Sea is famous for it’s Adventure Island Theme Park and it actually has some award winning beaches (for UK standards). Finally, for some serious beach home inspo make sure you take a stroll and admire all of the houses!
I definitely think it’s worth a visit.
