Why Marrakesh Should Be On Your Bucket List.

Maybe you’re trying to figure out where to explore next.

If you want to go somewhere cheap and cheerful I recommend giving Marrakesh a go.

Want to know why?

Then keep on reading!

The Airport itself is a work of art.

Look at that décor! It’s worth going to Marrakesh Menara Airport just to admire how beautiful it is.

Marrakesh Menara Airport.

The décor in general is great and inspiring!

There is something beautiful in every corner. If you love the Moroccan décor then Marrakesh is the place to go for some major inspo! From the hotels, to the restaurants and the Riads!

Trip Tip: Head to the Marrakesh markets around Jemma El-Fnaa to buy yourself a beautiful piece to bring back home with you. There is a vast majority of goodies in every corner of the market that suits every taste!

Don’t forget to haggle for a good price too and have fun!

The food is incredible.

Also having the opportunity to have amazing breakfast while the birds are singing is a memory that has stayed on my mind up to this day.

Trip Tip: I recommend booking a cooking class in Marrakesh as it's an amazing experience in itself.

The people are amazing.

Make sure to give the locals a chance, ask questions and tell (and hear) stories.

Trip Tip: I found Marrakesh to be a relatively safe place but as with every unknown destination please make sure you research where you go and as always be aware of your surroundings. I was nervous travelling to Marrakesh but if you are cautious and research before you go then you should feel safe!

The desert is not too far away.

Don’t forget to meet the adorable Moroccan camels.

There’s an opportunity to get some beautiful Henna.

Don’t leave Marrakesh without having a Henna experience.

Trip Tip: It’s always a good idea to research where to get Henna done because not all places/people pass the vibe check!

There’s also the opportunity to try refreshing lemonade and heart warming mint tea.

Fresh lemonade and mint tea are a few more things you see everywhere you look in the Moroccan markets!

I have to warn you though! The amount of sugar they add to their lemonade and mint tea is the whole amount of sugar you consume in a whole month. Spoiler alert: It’s a lot!

The music (and dance) is Ah-mazing!

I personally love the Moroccan/belly dance music since I have been learning belly dance for a few years, so if you’re also a fan then I recommend having a meal at a restaurant that has local music like Comptoir Darna.

Visits at beautiful hotels for major décor inspo is encouraged!

I still remember the smell I’ve experienced when I walked inside La Mamounia. The good news is that you can visit for free and take notes (or take pictures inside the beautiful gardens)!

Don’t forget the spa!

Book yourself a spa appointment if you can. The bad news is that there are so many cool places to do that it’s difficult to choose where to go!

Don’t forget to share your Marrakesh tips below if you have any, I would love to hear your experiences!
